In Memory

I was thinking for a while about whether I should post this blog or not...I hope I have not made a mistake..

I was recently reminded about the fragility of life. A family friend passed away recently, she battled bravely with cancer for over 4 years, but in the end, I guess she just couldnt fight anymore.

As a young boy, this lady was very nice to me and my siblings With her shrill voice and contagious laughter, she was always a joy to everyone around her. Her dedication to her family and her Church was always faithful, even during her illness.

People often pary for miracles when people get sick. However, in this case, the miracle did not come in the form of a cure. But rather through this ladys' strength and most importantly her faith in God.

Once again, this, along with many other events past and bigger world issues, stirkes home to me the fact that we are here today, but can be gone tomorrow. Many things can be put into perspective if you think about this once in a while. All we can do is trust in God. It may seem like God failed to take care of this particular situation but Romans 8:38-39 tells us

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
