reckless abandonment

Reckless Abandonment...for those of you who don't know..is a concept that I have come to find more and more interesting...its the idea of just letting yourself fully rely on God all the time. Sort of like fling yourself at him (but not in a drunk way knowhatimean)

anyway...yes when you are doing it for Jesus, its all good , and in fact it's probably a proper challenge....HOWEVER...we are not meant to recklessly abandon 'things' in this world...this is what i mean..

Last night some of the ladies at the church found a small, tiny little kitten which had been 'abandoned' by someone...they took him over to the building and I became good friends with it..in fact his name is Simba!!! however since I have no means of looking after it i called the RSPCA and they came to pick him up!..OK how hard was that..?!?!
why couldn't the people do left him had done that instead?!?!...

it doesnt stop there....recent news stories about parents again abandoning their kids, neglecting them, leaving them alone at home for days on end....its really quite disturbing...

if i was superman i would save all things from these sort of situations....i mean how irresponsible must one be to act in such a way...esp these parents who leave their young children locked up.basically to die......

if you need training and qualifications for to be a teacher....then shouldnt you also have the same, if not stricter requirements to become a parent....this is human life.

Simba is going to be a special cat...I pray that all other things that have been recklessly abandoned in an earthly way find reconciliation....

I know what you mean about being superman. I think one of the most awful things in the world is not being able to help your friends. I always wish that all the awful things that happen to them would just happen to me so that I wouldn't have to sit back and watch them suffer. It seems like it would be so much easier to handle it myself than it would be to watch helplessly as someone you love has to face it.
Anyways, cool blog. I am reading it because I'm procrastinating homework and laundry. Now it's back to the microbiology.....
