Auld Lang Saye

What does Auld Lang Saye even mean? I have no idea!! Perhaps I am ignorant...or some may say a FOOL!

The defining moments of 2007 have suddenly become lost in memory. But perhaps all these 'moments' people always try to define themselves with are kind of over-rated. (OK that sounds mean an cynical so maybe I should explain what I am thinking...) I think it's somewhat inaccurate to think that people and events are or can be captured in a single moment. We think this because 'the moment' is what we see. However, to get there, there must have been some sort of build up, something which lead that person to do this and that in order to get to where he/she is.

For example, we see a man, standing alone in front of a tank, unfazed. People use this picture to 'define' what happened in Tianamen Square. But there is a story behind that moment too, lots of stories probably which nobody even knows or maybe even cares about.

2007 was a year of many moments, but the story behind all them is that, I think, it was in 2007 that I learned that God loves us, and that He really is good all the time. Yes there have been ups and downs and real downs, but God has sustained all the way, he always has and he always will. I am sorry that I cant really explain clearly how I truly feel, "God is good" doesn't even really come close to how I want to thank Him...but that's really all I can think of to say right now.

And so, here we are in 2008!!! I am not sure what's going to happen. But that's OK....another series of moments will build up another picture...all I want to do is give God the glory...
